Delete your KickBack Pro account
Last updated 15 August 2026
You can delete your KickBack Pro account at any time, and you do not need to ask us to do it. This page explains how, exactly what is erased, exactly what is kept, and why the answer is not "everything".
Cash out first if you have a balance. Deleting an account forfeits any cashback still in it. We will tell you the amount as part of deleting, but we cannot give it back afterwards — the deletion is not reversible.
Deleting from the app
- Open KickBack and go to Account.
- Choose Delete account.
- Enter your password to confirm.
That is the whole thing. It takes effect immediately: your login stops working and every signed-in device is signed out, including any you no longer have.
Deleting without the app
If you cannot sign in — you have lost the device, you no longer have the app, or your password no longer works — email support@kickbackpro.com from the address on the account and ask us to delete it.
We will reply to that address to confirm it is you before deleting anything, because a request to erase an account is a request we must not act on from someone who is not its owner. Expect a response within a few working days.
We do not offer a form here that deletes an account from an email address alone. It would let anyone who guesses an address destroy a stranger's account, and it would tell them whether that address is registered — the same reason our sign-in page never says whether an email exists.
Creator accounts
A creator account cannot be deleted from the app, and the app will say so rather than erasing half of a login that has both. Creator earnings carry tax reporting obligations that have to be handled individually, so email support@kickbackpro.com and we will work through it with you.
What is erased
Permanently, and it cannot be recovered:
- Your email address and your name.
- Your password, and every active session and sign-in on every device.
- Your linked card: the token our card network partner gave us, and the last four digits we showed you. We never held your full card number, so there was never one to erase — see the privacy policy.
- Your payout destinations: any email address you gave us for gift cards, and the reference our payment processor gave us for a linked bank account. We never held your account or routing number either.
- Your connection to any creator is ended, so nothing further can be earned.
What is kept, and why
The record of money that already moved: what you earned, when, from which merchant, and what was paid out. Nothing in it identifies you. It is kept against an account number that, once your details are erased, refers to nobody.
We keep it for two reasons, and it is fair to be direct that this is a choice:
- It is the only way the money can be audited. These records prove what was paid to you, to creators, and to us. A set of books with people removed from it is still a set of books; one with the entries removed is not.
- It cannot technically be removed. Our ledger is append-only by design and by database enforcement: nothing in it can be edited or deleted by anyone, including us. That property is what makes a balance provable years later, and it is not something we can suspend for one account.
We also keep a record that a deletion happened — which account, when, and how many records it covered. That record contains no personal data, deliberately. Without it, an email disappearing from our systems would be indistinguishable from a data breach, and nobody could tell which had occurred.
How long the rest is kept
Indefinitely, in the pseudonymous form described above. There is no date on which financial records become safe to destroy, because the reason for holding them — being able to answer a question about a payment — does not expire on a schedule.
If you believe you have a right to erasure that this does not satisfy, write to support@kickbackpro.com and say so. We would rather have that conversation than have you assume the answer.
If you are not sure
Deleting is permanent, and there is no undo and no grace period. If what you actually want is something smaller, two smaller things exist, and neither deletes anything:
- Remove your linked card. Cashback stops being earned automatically on what you pay for with it. Shopping through a tracked link still earns.
- Disconnect from a creator. You keep earning and your balance is untouched. Earnings stop being shared with that creator, and your rate becomes our default rather than theirs.
Both are done on the web, signed in at app.kickbackpro.com — not in the app. The app can link a card and connect you to a creator; undoing either is a website action.
