KickBack Pro cashback terms
Version 2026-08-26
These terms cover cashback earned by a KickBack Pro account holder ("you") on purchases made with a card you have linked, or through a creator link you have followed. They do not cover creator commission, which is governed separately.
1. How cashback is earned
Cashback is earned when a purchase you make is reported to us by a card network or affiliate partner, and we can attribute that purchase to a creator you were connected to at the time of the purchase. Attribution is resolved as of the transaction date, not the date we hear about it.
The cashback rate is set by the merchant's offer in effect on the date of the purchase. Rates change; a change never alters cashback already earned.
2. Pending, available, and held
Cashback moves through three states.
Pending. The purchase has been authorised but not settled, or the merchant's return window has not elapsed. Pending cashback is visible but cannot be withdrawn, because the purchase can still be refunded or cancelled.
Available. The purchase has settled and the return window has elapsed.
Held. We have paused a specific earning while we check it. This is uncommon. Held cashback is still yours unless we tell you otherwise; you will see it on your account, and it cannot be withdrawn while the check is open.
3. When cashback is reversed
If a purchase is refunded, cancelled, or charged back, the cashback earned on it is reversed. This applies whether or not the cashback had already become available.
If cashback that has already been paid to you is later reversed, the amount is recovered by offsetting it against future cashback you earn. We will not debit your bank account or card to recover it. Until it is recovered, your balance may show as negative, and withdrawals are paused until it returns above zero.
We may also reverse cashback that we determine in good faith to be the result of fraud, abuse, an error in a partner's reporting, or purchases made with a card you were not authorised to use.
4. Withdrawing
You may withdraw available cashback once it reaches the minimum shown on your account. Withdrawals are subject to a hold period after cashback becomes available, shown to you before you request one.
We may pause a withdrawal while we verify your identity or investigate suspected fraud. If we cannot complete a withdrawal, the amount returns to your available balance and does not restart the hold period.
5. Your card
Linking a card means the card network tells us when a purchase at a participating merchant is made with it. We never receive or store your full card number. You can unlink a card at any time; doing so stops future earning on that card and does not affect cashback already earned.
6. Tax
Cashback on your own purchases is generally treated as a rebate on the purchase price rather than as income, and we do not report it. This is not tax advice and your circumstances may differ. Creator commission is treated differently and is covered by separate terms.
7. Closing your account
You may close your account at any time. Available cashback can be withdrawn before closing, subject to the minimum. Pending cashback that has not become available at the time of closure is forfeited, because the purchases behind it can still be reversed after there is no longer an account to reverse them against.
8. Changes to these terms
We publish changes as a new version. You will be asked to accept a new version before your next withdrawal. Cashback already earned is governed by the version in effect when it was earned, not by the current one.
